Joomla 3.9.15, CiviCRM 5.21

I want to enable, for a certain form, new user creation in CiviCRM. The joomla /administartor directory is protected with password, so I have to enable access to the registration form by adding an exception within the .htaccess file.

Link to access for registration: index.php?option=com_civicrm&view=Profiles&task=civicrm/profile/create&gid=14&reset=1

I added the last line into .htaccess:

Advanced server protection rules exceptions -- BEGIN

... RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !(.php)$

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f

RewriteRule ^.well-known/ - [L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !(.php)$

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f

RewriteRule ^administrator/components/com_civicrm/ - [L]

Advanced server protection rules exceptions -- END

However, the joomla .../administrator password request is still showing up in the frontend.

Maybe somebody has a hint for me. Thank you!

  • I have added for now a .htaccess at the level of /administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm with Allow From All Satisfy Any` It works, the page can be displayed, but I think it could be risky. Can somebody help me to narrow down the resources to be released. Thank you! – B e r t Feb 12 at 16:01
