A financial batch once exported cannot be reopened through UI. But you can reopen/update a batch using a api. If you want to change only title of the batch than i would recommend you to change the batch only title using api rather reopening the whole batch.

Try increase $_maxFields in: CRM/Event/Form/Task/Batch.php /** * Maximum profile fields that will be displayed. */ protected $_maxFields = 9; This would be a core hack though! To do this properly -> copy Batch.php -> into a custom_php directory.

I am not if anyone has done this before but you can use combination of hook_civicrm_batchItems and hook_civicrm_batchQuery to add columns in csv files. I don't think there is any easy solution to add column in iif export file. HTH Pradeep

I got a similar DataTables warning recently that prevented me from viewing exported batches. I was also able to change the batch status and see them in the 'closed' list. [running CiviCRM 5.13.5 and php 7.2 on WordPress] The problem turned out to be that I had recently deleted activities, including the export batch activities. Apparently, if so much as ...

Okay, solved. There was something awry with the latest Batch in that it had been exported, but the file didn't exist in the custom directory/filesystem. I changed that last batch status directly in the database from 5 (exported) to 2 (closed) and now the screens all load as usual. I suppose line 335 of /path-to-site/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Batch/BAO/...

I found the solution by changing two lines of PHP for the Contribution Detail report (CRM\Report\Form\Contribute\Detail.php) and putting it in our Custom PHP directory. The filters section for the batch name field reads by default (Civi 4.6.20) as follows: $this->_columns['civicrm_batch']['filters']['bid'] = array( 'name' => 'id', 'title' =&...

You can create an extension that would export in your format. Here is an example of similar requirement. https://github.com/JMAConsulting/biz.jmaconsulting.greatplains You can use this extension to create a new export format through UI and copy paste CSV file and edit the columns code that you would not require in export.

I examined the code of the report and there is nothing batch-related in there. I have made some edits in the core Bookkeeping report that allow display of the Batch name/title on this report. I will file a JIRA ticket and link to the Github PR so it can be reviewed and if approved, added to core. JIRA ticket GitHub PR on 4.7 (master)

From a clarity/clean audit trail perspective, I think I would go with adding a negative contribution to reverse/adjust the previously batched contribution, including a note in the adjustment contribution record. Some of our clients create batches just for adjustments to track them separately. Especially if it's been exported to another system, I would ...

I was overthinking this and missed the memo in green in my own screenshot. Another case where the solution is in the Reserved Profiles. Administer > Customize Data and Screens > Profiles > Reserved Profiles > Contribution Bulk Entry

Talk to your IT support. This can fixed in 5 minutes with some straightforward SQL (structured query language)

With that many contacts whose records all need changing, I think I'd be inclined to let them do it themselves. You could send them each an email with an editable profile including date of birth (required). You could include a checksum to save them having to login and the profile form would then be pre-filled. This could be a good time to keep their ...

If the events are all part of a repeating event series, then you should be able to change them by changing one, and selecting the option to change all related events. Otherwise, I'm afraid there's no built-in way to bulk change event types. If you know what you're doing with the API Explorer or MySQL, you can bulk change the event type on the back end - ...

From Contributions > Batch Data Entry. Select Edit next to the batch you have created, from here you can edit the number of items which will give you new records to add to the batch you've already created.

I believe the standard workflow for accounting requires a single currency per batch. At least that was all that we aimed to support. Please create an issue at lab.civicrm.org indicating that there should be a 'friendly' error message preventing transactions that have a different currency from ones already in the batch from being added. This should include an ...

This is doable with Advanced Search. You can enter your criteria (the tag) and change the Display Results As field to read "Event Participants", and then click Search. The results will be the folks tagged Meeting Speaker, but your Actions on the result screen will be geared toward Event type actions. More info on the Display Results As option can be found ...

Its a same procedure to assign transaction to reopen batch as of open batch by visiting the transactions list page of batch and then selecting and assigning transactions to batch. The number of items or total amount in batch doesn't matter and it does get updated automatically once a batch is closed. But some organization prefer to have exact count so that ...

The current batch total in CiviCRM is confusing as it is summing the amounts for all of the bookkeeping entries in the batch, NOT the total payments received for the contributions included or the total expected revenue from them. To see this clearly, if you edit a contribution and change most fields this results in reversing and reposting a corrected copy ...

There is a write up here about using the API. May not be a lot of help to you but worth adding to the thread. I found it, and your question, while similarly searching for a solution to needing to 'bulk update' Cases - and having found and failed (in our situation) with VBO and Views it may be a case, for us at least, that we need to do some more development ...

Well this is not really an answer but it is a workaround. We've found that when creating the batch, if we specify the Payment Instrument (e.g. Credit Card) then it works. So we can get around this for now by doing separate batches for credit cards and checks.

Without coding? hmmm. CSV importing might work. Contributions -> Import Contributions The CSV can work with the internal ID You would not have a nice screen with the batch import but only work with Spreadsheet/CSV's and import those. But.. person responsible for either importing the CSV or doing the batch entry should be able to check if it makes sense ...

I have an example for you. First I override the core query with my own one in the batchQuery hook: function xchangewinbooks_civicrm_batchQuery(&$query) { CRM_Xchangewinbooks_Export::batchQuery($query); } The class method: public static function batchQuery(&$query) { $query = "SELECT DISTINCT(d.invoice_id), d.creditnote_id, d.total_amount, d....

You add more than 100 transactions to a batch, but only up to 100 at a time. I had to do this when first implementing the batch processing - creating a batch of previous transactions. I just wish that Civi would remember the number of entries selected when returning from applying.
