I think hiding it with CSS might be the most straightforward solution to this... I don't believe this is an option that can be toggled on/off in the admin settings. Hope this helps, Lesley

I would create a custom extension as explained here or using an existing one and implementing hook_civicrm_buildForm Updated function myextension_civicrm_buildForm( $formName, &$form ) { if ("CRM_Group_Form_Edit" == $formName) { if ($form->getAction() == CRM_Core_Action::ADD) { $defaults = array ("group_type[2]" => true); $form-&...

4.7 should be, but not 4.6 as is. There was a GSoC student who worked on making CiviCRM more Bootstrap-friendly, unfortunately the patches were not merged in for 4.6. I've started working on it again, based on Amilineni's work, but I'm slowly moving forward. If anyone beats me to it, I will be more than happy :) So far, I've been trying to add a few ...

No, it hasn't. The National Democratic Institute (NDI) did a bit of less than proper formal usability testing: https://www.nditech.org/blog/2014/08/testing-one-two-three with details of process at https://nditech.org/blog/2014/07/test. Their focus was on their staff using it for their specific purposes, so the results were skewed, and led more to tailoring ...

This shortcut and others can be found by clicking on the "Access Keys" help icon at the bottom of many CiviCRM pages.

The form field is assigned "q" as its HTML accesskey. I don't know about other browsers, but you can activate it in Firefox by pressing alt+shift+q (Windows/Linux), or on Mac: either control+option+q or control+alt+q.

The issue appears to have been caused by some sql that was posted as a solution to a different problem, here https://civicrm.stackexchange.com/a/18547/233. If you also ran the bad sql, you can fix it by running the sql command: update civicrm_uf_group set name = 'summary_overlay' where name LIKE 'summary_overlay_%'; Specifically, the bug arises because ...

So, Shoreditch is a Bootstrap based theme, and as such if you want to use it in your extension, you need to have your extension's markup comply to the Bootstrap markup convention (documented in the Bootstrap site). Given that that convention is different than the one used by "vanilla" CiviCRM, you can't really have your extension look the same with and ...

This was covered during CiviCon St. Louis. I'll try to sum up. There's no way to write an extension that works with both pre-Shoreditch and post-Shoreditch conventions. However, it will be a fairly common site in Civi for some time to come to have extensions that implement Shoreditch operating inside of pages that don't. Mosaico is a good example of this. ...

You can set the 'contact type' of a Relationship to be All Contact Types

I am not sure how CiviCRM will understand drush en to enable shoreditch extension. Shoreditch extension is under CiviCRM not under Drupal. But there is different drush command to install CiviCRM extensions List CiviCRM extensions drush cel Install CiviCRM extension drush cei org.civicrm.shoreditch Disabled CiviCRM extension drush ced org.civicrm....

If the iPads are connected to the internet, then you can create a profile form (or Webform if your site uses Drupal) and they can submit it directly. I'm not aware of an offline app but others may know of one.

This is a really broad question, and without some guidance as to what you consider a "professional CRM applications" looks like it is tricky one to answer. That said, with Drupal we often built out a UI via Views and Webforms that can keep all the but the hardcore admins out of civicrm entirely - depending of course on what the extent of their requirements ...

Can't you go to Advanced Search & select the memberships you want - you can select which statuses you want, too - the results show status and date of membership if you select to Display Results As Membership - unless I don't understand your question. Note: For v4.5 and below, Display Results As is in the top right of the Basic Criteria frame in an ...

To clear all status messages and prevent them from being shown to the user, you can do: CRM_Core_Session::getStatus(TRUE);

Terrific! I found a work-around, and here it is! Using Firefox web browser, with the "Web Developer" tool bar extension, select Disable \ Disable JavaScript \ Disable All JavaScipt. Then reload the above specified URL. That will load the page WITHOUT the AJAX / JavaScript multi-select controls... and leave the basic HTML list controls. I was able to quickly ...

It has been fixed in the updated version https://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-19135. So it's recommended if you could upgrade CiviCRM to 4.7.11 or apply this patch to your site and check if it works for you https://github.com/civicrm/civicrm-core/pull/8777

CiviCRM 4.7.16+ has the ability to color-code tags. Color-coding a "VIP" tag should give a quick visual indicator that someone is a VIP.

I agree with Pete - try to be as specific as possible and indicate which easily available information (e.g. on the CiviCRM handbook) you have already found & considered. That being said, CiviCRM's appearance/look & feel can be changed by using another drupal theme. You could use one that you like (we have been using boostrap as well as the AT ...

I would use calculateTotalFee() to check if total amount is > 0. CRM_Core_Resources::singleton()->addScript(" CRM.$(function($) { hideshowMainProfile(); $('#priceset [price]').bind('change keyup click blur', hideshowMainProfile); function hideshowMainProfile() { if (calculateTotalFee() > 0) { $('.crm-public-form-item.crm-...

I was using Drupal 8 adminimal theme and shoreditch civicrm theme. but civicrm tab for contact were not showing correctly as expected. Some of it is added via javascript, e.g. https://github.com/civicrm/civicrm-core/blob/5.15.2/js/crm.menubar.js#L104 But as this ticket notes the rest depends a bit on the CMS and the theme and is inconsistent: https://lab.civicrm.org/dev/core/issues/300

As @petednz stated you can change the contact types a relationship works for. (System>Customize Data and Screens>Relationshiptypes). There is some core functionality involved in the employer relationship (linked to the employer in the contact summary). I would recommend you test that as well to make sure it behaves as you want. If it throws any issues, you ...

I was looking at a similar solution for one of my clients a while back, where they were very likely to be offline. A quick Google search (I think I searched for 'offline forms iOS' or somesuch) revealed that there are plenty of relatively low cost solutions out there that will let you create forms on an iPad and save all the data submissions into a CSV or ...

If you are using Drupal I have a sandbox module that provides an easy way to modify contact screens in a couple of ways. If it was extended to have a condition for a contact having a certain field value, belonging to a group or having a tag it would be easy to have a reaction to show a block or modify the css on the page. CiviCRM Context module

How about adding a photo of the contact? To do this click 'Edit' then you'll see that you can upload an image. Also, the image can be enlarged by clicking it.

That's a good idea. Here is a refinement of your patch that works it into core using localStorage, which is not CMS dependent. https://github.com/civicrm/civicrm-core/pull/8485

No need to extend the class - there's a hook for this, hook_civicrm_recent.

I totally agree. Once good way to do this would be to add a breadcrumb link here: It was fairly simple so I just created a pull-request to add this to the upcoming 4.7 release. https://github.com/civicrm/civicrm-core/pull/7555

Joe - I think a View is probably a good approach for you to take. If you do so, pls consider attaching it here so others can try it out.
